My Story

Hi. I’m Sheryl.

Welcome to my heart, my story, and my love for Moms of Tweens and Teens.

My passion and mission for MOTTS was born out of my personal journey – a journey that took me from a place of being fearful to show others the real me, to a place of slowly opening my heart to being authentic; a place of shame wanting to hide my challenges and struggles to experiencing the grace and love of being known and accepted; a place of not knowing what to do, to a place of experiencing the healing, wisdom, and transformation that comes from being a part of a community of women who are wiling to share their hearts and allow themselves to be seen and known.

I HAVE LEARNED I’M NOT ALONE.

As a result, my life’s mission and passion is to connect women to their hearts, one another, and as a result to transform themselves, their lives, and their homes.

I understand the feelings, struggles, and challenges that can come with parenting adolescents. I have children who have struggled with ADHD, depression, anxiety, defiance, hanging with the wrong crowd, and even addiction.  I understand what it feels like to feel worn down, as if you are failing as a mom. I understand the pain of comparing yourself to other moms who appear to be doing so much better than you.

My heart is filled with gratitude for what I have received—the transformation that has taken place in my heart, my life, and my relationships. My life is far from perfect. Yet I know my struggles are not in vain. They are catalysts for healing change and an opportunity for growth. I don’t need to hide, I can embrace whatever it may be, and allow it to do it’s work in me because I have the support of community!

My prayer is that my story, the community, content, and all we offer here at MOTTS will richly bless your heart, your life, and your relationships.

With a heart full of gratitude.
