Life Coaching

You have the power within you to choose the life you want.

For over 18 years, I have had the pleasure of helping women transform their life through personal life coaching, workshops, social media platforms, community groups, and presentations. My company, Transform Your Life, has allowed me to inspire, motivate, rejuvenate, connect, and empower women to discover their purpose and passions in order to transform their lives and achieve their goals. My hope is to build on what I have achieved through Transform Your Life into a further-reaching platform. MOTTs will take this empowerment ability to the next level and reach more women and moms around the world while still offering local focus groups, online webinars, and scheduled call-in-sessions.

As your life coach, I will urge you to dig deeper into the areas that you desire. We will cry, laugh, and learn from one another.  Yes, I will actually learn from you too.  This is one of the reasons I love what I do so much—because of women like you!

I believe there is a spiritual connection between where you are and where you want to be—false beliefs, fears, and security blankets that no longer work and block us from the life we long to live. With a commitment on your part and a desire to grow, I will equip and empower you to know yourself better, break free, and let go of what holds you back.

HOW IT WORKS

To me, coaching is like a returning home to your soul where you must ask yourself:

  • Am I living the life I want to live?
  • What do I want to change about myself and my life?

  • Do I please others and neglect myself?

  • What is holding me back from getting what I want?

  • How can I make a difference in the world?

We all have an innate desire to learn and grow. Unfortunately, we are naturally inclined to go through it alone. The problem with trying to go it alone is that we set goals (i.e. to create a more satisfying relationship, lose weight, or pursue a new venture) but feel discouraged because we fail or are not achieving the results we desire. We say to ourselves, “If I just try harder, I’ll get there,” only to fail again. This cycle can repeat itself over and over and eventually lead us into despair.

Trying harder does not get us to where we want to go. We need discipline and a system of support and accountability to help us stay on the path to reach our goals. We also need to overcome obstacles that emerge as we pursue new opportunities. Through developing a ‘growth mindset’ we can practice new behaviors, take risks and go for more in our lives and relationships. A great Life Coach will not only help you identify your desires, dreams, and goals, but will also provide you with tools, feedback and structure to motivate you to create significant and lasting change.

MY PROCESS

I will come along side you to help you design a plan to match your individual needs. You will be led through a process where you will identify your wants,  gifts, and dreams, and together we will create pathways that will lead you towards lasting transformation.

I do almost all of my coaching over the phone or Skype. This allows me to work with people from near and far.  This also makes it super convenient for us to fit a session into our often busy schedules.  I also see clients in my private home office.

Once you contact me, I will e-mail you to set up a 15-20 minute call to learn about you and what you are looking for.  If we decide to work together, I will send you information and questions that we will discuss in our first session. I prefer to work with clients every other week for a determined length of time.  Each client has unique needs and we can assess what works best for you.

MY BACKGROUND

I am a Certified Life and Relationship Coach and Group Facilitator who is passionate about supporting and encouraging women to live more meaningful and satisfying lives. For over 18 years, I have been a teaching leader in my community and local churches. Currently, I am a One-to-One Soul Care Minister and Leader at Christ Church Lake Forest.  I love ministering to people who are going through difficulties and life transitions. My specialty is in integrating personal growth with spiritual support and insight. I’m passionate about my own transformational journey and seek to live out the principles I advise to others. I have devoted over 15 years to my own personal growth and training, and 22 years seeking to live out my faith. On a personal level, I been married for over 27 years and I’m a humbled mother of two emerging adults and a teen who is still at home.

My approach is relational, nurturing, and supportive. I enjoy working with women who desire lasting change in their lives, and I provide a safe place for them to express their feelings, discover what they want, and begin the process of knowing and accepting themselves more fully.

We were not created to walk the journey alone, but with others who desire to live intentionally, abundantly and with passion. I would love to join you on this journey.

To contact me for a one to one session by phone, Skype, FaceTime, or in my office, simply e-mail me at sheryl@momsoftweensandteens.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

About

Hi. I’m Sheryl.

Welcome to my heart, my story, and my love for Moms of Tweens and Teens.

My passion and mission for MOTTS was born out of my personal journey – a journey that took me from a place of being fearful to show others the real me, to a place of slowly opening my heart to being authentic; a place of shame wanting to hide my challenges and struggles to experiencing the grace and love of being known and accepted; a place of not knowing what to do, to a place of experiencing the healing, wisdom, and transformation that comes from being a part of a community of women who are willing to share their hearts and allow themselves to be seen and known.
