Debra Caffrey is the mother of one teenage boy, and she is the writer and editor for Fredericksburg Parent and Family magazine in Virginia. She has published poetry and additional personal essays on the website of parenting expert Dr. Shefali Tsabary. Debra usually cooks, reads, exercises, or introverts on her beloved backyard hammock when she's not contemplating parenthood.
