I'd love to hear your biggest challenges around co I'd love to hear your biggest challenges around communicating with your tween or teen! I will address your challenges during our FREE Mini Parenting Bootcamp next Thursday, February 9th at 12N-1:30pm Central.

I will be addressing common communication challenges with our tweens and teens, where we get off course, what's going on neurologically and developmentally that explains so much of their behavior, and how you can get your relationship back on track and build a strong relationship of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Go to link in our bio or go to momsoftweensandteens.com/bootcamp to register! And invite or tag a friend to join us!

Can’t wait! ❤️Sheryl

That’s why we’ve made it easy for you and put together affirmation prompts, ideas, inspiration, and tips to help you to connect with your tween and teen’s heart.

Get access to our printable ready-to-cut-out hearts and awesome affirmations to help get the ball started rolling, and reminders to get those hearts done!

Reframing the way we approach conversations with o Reframing the way we approach conversations with our teens changes everything.❤

One of the common mistakes I see parents make is offering advice and telling their tweens/teens what they should do. And it’s so easy to do isn’t it?! 🙋‍♀️🥴🤪

When you start practicing asking instead of telling the craziest thing happens — they start talking more. They learn to become better problem solvers and become more motivated and confident.

You will begin to notice when you do offer advice that the conversation is more prone to shut down and they stop talking.

So, for this week…

Less telling, more asking. Try it and you will be amazed at how it works.

One of the hardest things about parenting is disce One of the hardest things about parenting is discerning when to step in and help your kids and when do you step back.

This is especially tough during the tween and teen years when our kids are going through huge changes — socially, emotionally, academically, and physically. We’re in a huge transitional phase!

We want our kids to be successful. We love and care, but when are we actually caring so much that they don’t have to care as much?

I had the pleasure of having Cindy Muchnick on the podcast. @cmuchnick is a speaker, educational consultant, and bestselling author who co-authored the book, “The Parent Compass: Navigating Your Teen's Wellness and Academic Journey in Today's Competitive World.”

As a mom of four herself, Cindy is on a mission to educate parents on how to support and empower their kids to develop resilience and a sense of purpose without putting too much pressure on them.

Give the episode a listen! Link in bio!💕
