One-on-one coaching for moms of tweens and teens
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
When you’re worried about your tween or teen, it’s hard to know what to say—or what to do next. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and create a practical plan that feels right for your family. Every session is with me, Sheryl, personally.
The call is free, about 30 minutes, with absolutely no pressure to sign up. Not ready for a call? Email me first. I write back personally.

A welcome from Sheryl
Hi, I’m Sheryl. Here’s how coaching works.
“When I first reached out to Sheryl, it was 4 a.m. I had awakened in a cold sweat, worried about my son and not knowing what to do. Sheryl made me feel heard and understood.”— Jamie S.
A place to exhale
Bring me what’s keeping you up at night.
You don’t have to have it all together. Come as you are, mess and all. You don’t need the right words, and you don’t need anything figured out. That’s exactly why I’m here.
Bring the worries, the conflicts, and the questions rolling around in your head, the ones leaving you confused, stressed, and anxious. We’ll sort through it all together, with compassion and without judgment.
Most moms come to me hoping I can help fix their kid. What we discover together is that the biggest change happens in how you relate to your tween or teen. And when that changes, everything changes.
Maybe you’re wondering…

What coaching looks like
A calmer path forward—in three simple steps.
Tell me what’s happening.
I listen carefully and help you name the real challenge underneath the emotion and overwhelm.
We make sense of it together.
We separate what you can control from what belongs to your kid and identify the patterns keeping everyone stuck.
You walk away with a plan.
You’ll have clear language, practical next steps, and more confidence about how to respond.
Come on your own, or bring your husband or co-parent.

Don’t let the smiles fool you. We’ve had our share of struggles and challenges, and we’ve made our way through them together. It’s never too late.
Meet Sheryl
I’ve been in the thick of it too.
I know what it’s like to worry about your kid. You feel powerless, scared, and alone. You wonder if you’re failing them, and you have no idea what to do or how to make things better.
I’ve been married for 36 years. I’m a mom of three grown kids and a grandmother of four. Our family has walked through depression, anxiety, ADHD, and addiction. There were seasons I felt scared, alone, and unsure what to do next.
I also know what a difference it makes to have support. Getting help changed my life. It changed my relationships with my kids and my husband, and it led me to the work I do today. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without it.
That’s why, for 18 years, I’ve walked alongside thousands of moms of tweens and teens as a parenting educator, coach, author, and the founder of Moms of Tweens and Teens. I bring practical, research-informed tools, but more than that, I bring my whole heart.
Coaching with me is personal. It’s shaped around you, your kid, and your family’s unique situation. I’ll walk with you as a mom who has been there, who knows it’s never too late, and who believes there is so much hope for you and your kid. Hope for the close, beautiful relationship you long for, and for your kid to truly thrive.
“Sheryl never makes me feel less than. She openly shares the light parts of parenting, the dark parts, and the lessons she has worked so hard to understand. Her honesty challenges me to think in ways I wouldn’t have considered on my own. I’m deeply grateful for her authenticity, wisdom, and servant’s heart.”

“Coaching with Sheryl was a game changer for my relationship with my daughter when we were at our wit’s end. After working with Sheryl for over a year, our daughter is now thriving. We are so grateful for Sheryl’s insight and wisdom.”
“Sheryl, I can’t express how grateful I am for all of the support and guidance you have given me and others. It’s been a really tough season and honestly, I don’t know where I would be right now. You have given me tools to navigate this stage in my life and made me realize how I am not the only one going through this. And that there’s hope.”
“The transformation in my kids and my parenting has been fantastic. My oldest daughter and her friends sat in the kitchen telling me all the things and said, “We just love you so much. You just listen to us!” Before working one-on-one with Sheryl, this would not have happened. Little by little and day by day, it does get better.”

“When I first reached out to Sheryl, it was 4 a.m. I had awakened in a cold sweat, worried about my son and not knowing what to do. Sheryl made me feel heard and understood. Since working with her, my life has improved dramatically. There are far fewer 4 a.m. freak-outs, and when they happen, I feel much better equipped to handle them.”
“After applying Sheryl’s suggestions, I immediately saw a different response from my kids. A situation that would normally trigger a negative reaction was calm and peaceful. That is worth so much.”
“I am blown away by how eye-opening this has been. I’ve done a lot of therapy and understand many of my family-of-origin patterns, but what Sheryl has taught me has been next-level freeing.”
“Sheryl’s guidance helped me almost immediately. She brings so much wisdom while being relatable, real, and deeply caring. She never makes me feel bad for not knowing what to do yet.”

Before we begin
What if I don’t know how many sessions I need?
That’s completely okay. Start by reaching out. We can talk about what’s happening and choose the amount of support that makes the most sense.
Can my spouse or co-parent join?
Yes, when it would be helpful and everyone is comfortable participating. We can decide together before the session.
Can you help when anxiety or ADHD is part of the picture?
Yes. Coaching can help you respond more effectively, communicate more clearly, and create supportive boundaries. Coaching is educational support and is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is future-focused and practical. We’ll concentrate on parenting patterns, communication, boundaries, and next steps. I don’t diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.
What does weekly text support include?
Six- and eight-session packages include text support between sessions for brief questions, encouragement, and help applying what we discussed. Messages are answered during regular weekday hours, typically within 12 hours, and are not intended for emergencies.
What happens after I reach out?
We’ll set up a free 30-minute call. We talk about what’s going on, you can ask me anything, and we see if we’re a good fit. There’s absolutely no pressure to sign up. If you’d rather start by email, that’s perfectly fine too.
You don’t have to keep carrying this by yourself.
Let’s find your next right step.
