Kate Brandes lives in a small river town in Pennsylvania with her husband and two sons. She’s a creative writer and artist interested in sense of place. She's published one novel, The Promise of Pierson Orchard (Wyatt-Makenzie Publishing, 2017), along with other short stories and creative nonfiction. Kate has also worked as a geologist and environmental scientist for more than twenty years.
