Moms Share 10 Delicious and Easy Meals for Tweens and Teens 

We all know parenting our tweens and teens is the toughest job we’ll ever love. And one of the biggest challenges for moms of tweens and teens is figuring out what to feed our incessantly hungry kids! It seems to be a never-ending struggle that leaves us exhausted, frustrated, and often out of ideas. Besides trying to make delicious, healthy meals for our kids, we must also please our picky eaters. Moms often bear the brunt of this responsibility and do all the grocery shopping, meal planning, and cooking.

We decided to ask our amazing community of moms of tweens and teens to share their favorite easy recipe ideas that are a big hit with their kids. The responses were full of FANTASTIC recipes that we wanted to share! Thanks to all our wonderful, hardworking moms who follow our Facebook page HERE!

Without further ado, here are 10 delicious and easy meals for tweens and teens! Scroll through what these moms shared and try them all with your kids!

10 delicious and easy meals for tweens and teens

Burrito bowls.

You can make the chicken ahead of time or use rotisserie chicken. Add black beans, rice, salsa, guacamole, cheese, and lettuce, and serve with chips. It’s a staple with my teens!

Chicken pasta.

Boneless chicken thigh with S&P and your favorite spices/herbs on an oven sheet surrounded by cherry tomatoes, paprika, onion, garlic, and feta in the middle. 220C for 25 min, puree all but meat and mix the sauce with penne.

Pizza wraps.

Tortilla, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese. Microwave 30 seconds.

Lil Smokies wrap.

Lil smokies wrapped in crescent dough and sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning and honey mustard for dipping sauce. Cheap, quick and easy.

Caesar wraps/quesadillas:

I use the pre-bagged Caesar salad mix to make chicken Caesar wraps and rotisserie chicken quesadillas.

Rice, chicken, black bean bowl.

Jasmin rice, seasoned black beans, Publix rotisserie chicken

Chicken pesto pasta.

  • Pack of pasta
  • Jar of pesto
  • 300ml cream. Add more if needed
  • Shredded roast chicken (however much you like)
  • Cook the pasta.
  • While that’s cooking, heat the cream pesto and chicken in
    a pan.
  • Add the parmesan and cooked pasta, and you’re done.

Chicken lettuce wraps. Knockoff PF Changs

    • Ground chicken

    • Fresh ginger and garlic (I go heavy, so whatever your family likes)

    • 3 tbs hoisin

    • 2 tbs soy

    • 2 tbs rice wine vinegar

    • 1 tsp sesame oil mixed and cooked with browned ground chicken, ginger, and garlic.

    • You can add water chestnuts…green onions.

    • Bibb lettuce.

    • White rice

Chicken enchiladas

    • Shredded breast and thigh off a rotisserie chicken.

    • Add sautéed onion and capsicum and follow the enchilada kit instructions.

Sheet-pan nachos

You can literally make them however you like them, but layer them over a lined sheet pan. We usually have plain salted corn chips, taco beef mince, black beans, salsa, cheese, guac, and sour cream.

Loaded fries

Same as nachos above, but replace corn chips with thick-cut oven chips (fries).
